Advanced Techniques and Equipment

New technologies allow veterinarians and other medical practitioners more options for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. We offer the following advanced procedures and equipment:

Dr. Martin uses a laparascope Laparoscopy and Endoscopy
Laparoscopy and endoscopy are techniques that allow a veterinarian to view or manipulate internal structures without performing invasive surgeries. They are sometimes referred to as "keyhole" or "band-aid" surgeries, because they require only one or two small incisions, at most.

Your vet can diagnose your pet or obtain sample tissues by inserting small instruments or fiber optic camera devices into the area. Compared with surgical methods, these procedures reduce post-operative pain and allow for a faster recovery for your pet.

Ultrasound Imaging
We also provide ultrasound imaging as a safe and comfortable means of diagnosing your pet.

TonoPen
This device is used to screen for glaucoma by measuring the pressure within the eye.

Blood Pressure Monitoring Equipment
This allows us to easily monitor your pet's cardiovascular health.
