The Value of Annual Exams
Annual wellness exams for your cat are the best way to keep your pet as healthy as possible. Bringing your cat in for regular wellness exams is the very best you can do to assure longer life and the highest quality of life for your companion.
Our veterinarians recommend annual exams for puppies and adult cats, and biannual exams for senior cats. During the wellness exam we will review your cat’s medical history, record their weight, and check their vital signs. We will then perform a thorough physical examination which includes a professional dental cleaning and evaluation.
The wellness exam is an opportunity for you to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about your cat’s health. We can discuss topics such as nutrition, dental care, mobility issues, age related changes, and vaccinations.
We believe in creating individualized wellness care plans that specifically address your cat’s needs. Our veterinarians will review your cat’s lifestyle based on their activities and factors such as age, breed, and medical history to create a personalized vaccination plan for your pet.
Preparing for Your Cat’s Exam
On the day of your pet’s wellness appointment, we ask that you bring a stool sample (less than four hours old) and please bring your cat in a pet carrier.
We also recommend that you bring medical files such as previous vaccination records if this is your cat's first visit with us.
