The Value of Annual Exams
Annual wellness exams for your dog and cat are the best way to keep your pet as healthy as possible. Bringing your pet in for regular wellness exams is the very best you can do to assure longer life and the highest quality of life for your companion.
Our veterinarians recommend annual exams for puppies, kittens and adult dogs and cats and biannual exams for senior dogs and cats. During the wellness exam, we will review your dog’s medical history, record weight, and check vital signs. We will then perform a thorough physical examination.
The wellness exam is an opportunity for you to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about your pet's health. We can discuss topics such as nutrition, dental care, mobility issues, age related changes, and vaccinations.
We believe in creating individualized wellness care plans that specifically address your pet's needs.
Preparing for Your Pet's Exam
On the day of your pet’s wellness appointment, we ask that you bring a stool sample (less than four hours old) and please bring your dog on a leash and your cat in a carrier.
We also recommend that you bring medical files, such as previous vaccination records if this is your pet's first visit with us.
